Western Regional Media Center (WRMC) of Hope Channel Ukraine started its work in May 2009. But everything started 3 month before. At the end of February 2009 Vyacheslav Demyan, young and dedicated director of Hope Channel Ukraine, visited the city of Lviv. The purpose of his visit was to tell about plans, activities and development areas of Hope Channel Ukraine. “It’s important to understand the ministry of Seventh-day Adventist church nowadays and how we can fulfill it. TV-ministry is one of the most effective ways to proclaim the Gospel today. So let's strive for the tremendous results together!” - said Vyacheslav. Being inspired by the ministry of the central studio of Hope Channel Ukraine, a group of enthusiasts arose. Under the support from the local administration of SDA church, these people had to get new skills necessary for work on TV. Those days many prayers were raised to God. We asked Him for support, guidance, wisdom to carry out this ministry in the western part of Ukraine. And in such a way Western Regional Media Center of Hope Channel Ukraine was born.

In May 2009 the active work began. At first, we filmed occasionally in Volyn, Lviv and Rivne regions. Then there were regular filming, long shooting and programs’ editing, the intensive joint training in movement, practice with new ideas, inspiration and vision of special mission of this work. In June 2009 WRMC contributed to creating of the documentary about veterans of the SDA church in Ukraine. The film about the history of SDA church in western Ukraine was presented at the celebration of the 120^th anniversary of SDA church in Ukraine. The event took place at the Opera House in Lviv.

Today our team includes five specialists and several volunteers who are working upon news reportages, interviews, sermons, historical programs and programs for youth. We are looking forward to a new studio where we will be able to implement up-to-date projects. Each of us believes that television is a marvelous opportunity to tell Ukrainian people about an alternative way of living – living a positive life of Hope!
